Isn't it a blessing when God sends old friends back into your life? People who you didn't think you could ever even really know again because the old wounds were too deep... ???
But when this happens, do we have to guard our hearts? Can we just start where we left off, or is it reasonable to assume that we need to build that trust again? I believe the latter. I think that "good" realtionships are built on firm foundations.
How could someone who you loved so much, who you were so close to.... have gone to college, gone through boyfriends, gotten engaged & married without you hardly knowing any of it? Do you think that God brings people in and out of our lives, and then sometimes back again to teach us something? To cause us to grow through the pain that losing someone causes? I don't know. But I really don't want to lose this person twice.... or more like thrice...
