You can't be an animal lover if you eat them.

I love being a vegetarian. Although I do admit that sometimes when I smell hamburgers on the grill my tastebuds do salivate. However, for the most part I don't miss meat in my life at all. Probably because I was never a big fan of meat... at least not red meat. The only meat I ever really did eat was chicken... and yes (okay, it's my confession!) I do still eat that every now and then when I go out for chinese food.

I have been a vegetarian for about 6 months now. I tried it before, but didn't stick at it. The breaking point? I went to browse P.E.T.A.'s website and watched their video's on how factory farms operate. I highly recommend it. Here's the link: http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=meet_your_meat

And tell me, how can you continue eating these animals after viewing that? I would love your comments after you watch the video. To watch other video's, go to http://www.petatv.com

Hey virginia,

I watched the video...reminded me of the simpsons with "bovine university." I grew up in a farming area, and people there have large herds of beef, poultry, and pigs but treat them much better than what you see in the videos. I'm not saying that animals aren't mistreated, just don't want to demonize the entire industry.
