Happy 5th Anniversary to Us!

Last weekend, Kris and I went to Niagara Falls to celebrate our fifth anniversary! We eloped to Niagara Falls on April 7, 2001 & hadn't been back since. It was a blast, and although we couldn't find the same hotel that we had stayed at, we were able to re-visit the butterfly conservatory and RED LOBSTER! It was sooo good! We also checked out the falls (of course), and had a tour of the Jackson Triggs Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, which is about 30 minutes from Niagara Falls. It was really interesting, and it was our first time ever seeing real grape vines growing in a field... It only cost $5/each for the tour and then the money is redeemable towards purchasing wine afterwards. BONUS! We also went to Ikea (that's where the pictures of us drinking coffee are at.. wow, they have a nice cafe!) and M.E.C. in Toronto, and then spent our last night at my brother, Tim, and his girlfriend, Andrea's apartment in Port Credit. It was a splendid weekend getaway, and here are some pictures for you to enjoy! I will have to do separate blog entries for each category of picture because it is only letting me post a certain number at a time.

So, here's hoping that I get this stellar job I am applying for. The position is "Skills Trainer" and I would be working with foster children; taking them out into the community to do fun stuff & also working to help them with any behaviour problems they might have. Pray for Me!!! The closing date is this Friday and it would be really great to get a job in the Sault b/c Kris and I would really like to stay here since he is enrolled at Algoma University and stuff like that... plus moving SUCKS. This would be a really great entry-level job for me, and I am also almost over-qualified for it for a change!!
